Project 365: 2011 Photo Journaling

Light and colour in my neighbourhood.
A flower found before my feet.
I had just finished a seminar on how to survive uni, it was an 8am start in the city, and my enthusiasm surprised me. I purchased a TV that very afternoon and went home to record myself dancing to NSYNC, which I then uploaded to YouTube. (yes it's still up there).
My first bout of depression led me to an insane obsession with trains and train deaths. I can recall feeling uneasy every time a train approached the platform. I teased myself with the idea of jumping, until one day I looked across the track and found the words "creep". It was a sign, and within two months I had quit my emotionally tiresome job, and left UTS where failure became a regular thing.
I remember being really proud I sat through a whole physics lecture without leaving and treated myself to my first "eating all alone" experience (no sympathy required, this is still one of my favourite things to do *holds "L" to forehead*). P.S. it was salmon, avocado and rice with vinegar.
In my biodiversity lab we created an ecosystem in a jar. I wasn't phased by this until two weeks later when we had discovered tiny microorganisms developing on the stem of a leaf. I remember screaming. I hadn't been that happy in months.
Newly single, and three weeks into gluten free eating and 30 minute jogs on the treadmill. Empowering and short lived.
My nephew's brand new shoes. How could you not take a picture?
